Erg Chebbi, located in the Sahara desert, is one of Morocco’s many ergs.
It’s a large sea of dunes that’s formed by wind-blown sand, and it is slowly moving each year, swallowing small hotels and the towns that surround it.
It’s been photographed many, many times. But if it’s constantly moving, are any two photos of this place the same?
P.S. These photos look a little crusty around the edges - I’m not sure if Substack is compressing them, or it’s an issue on my end. Either way, sorry about it!
Really beautiful images!
All so beautiful! 💜
